Dora
Spenlow/Copperfield
Dora is the daughter of one of the two bosses of David in the Common's,
and
he met her in her home in a date Mr Spenlow invited him. Immediately after
this first meeting David fallen in love with her and was always expecting
for a new invitation for the Spenlow's home, that happen in the birthday
of young Dora, he bought her a bouquet of flowers thinking that now she
would know his feelings. That day all the Spenlows friends went to spent
the day at the country that day was the first in which David flirted with
Dora. She was all the day paying more attention to other man that him and
David was jealous, but Julia Mills the best friend of Dora notice it and
treated to arrange it. There were other occassions where Miss Mills had
to help them: when they started their relations she had to be the mediator
between their letters and she managed their dates in her own home in order
not to be discovered by Mr Spenlow or by Jean Murdstone the woman who had
to stay all times besides Dora as her "reliable friend" (and who, we have
to remember, hated David since his childhood). That was what finally happened,
Miss Murdstone discovered a David's letter in the mouth of Jipp, the little
dog of Dora who was all times growling David.
When Miss Murdstones revealed David's intentions for Dora, she related
all she knew Mr Spenlow, and him, angry with David forbidden him continue
seeing Dora; but when all is a black future for both Mr Spenlow died
in an accident without saying nothing about that conversation to Dora.
Dora gets shocked and she goes to the house of a pair of sisters of her
father with who she hadn't relations in all her life, and while a time
doesn't want to see David and when she hears his name she cries, but he
insisted and wrote a letter together his aunt for the ones of Dora in which
demands a formal date to introduce himself to their.
When they become formally engaged, and after a period of time, they got
married, and they funded a very candid family. They suffered lots of disliking
situations in wich they are the victim always, as when their servants are
thiefs.
There were times in which David tried to transform Dora in a good housekeeper
but it results impossible.
Then came the the sad days of dora's sickness, she felt weak, and she couldn't
run so much as in her best days. Everybody notice her prostration and they
became worried about her health, David, aunt Betsey, Agnes... all them
try to do her life more easy.
The day
she would die, at the same time Dora is speaking with Agnes (who had substituded
Julia Mills in her heart since she had gone to thre India) in her room,
Jipp caressed the hand of David and died... minutes later in Dora's room
she died in the Agnes' arms. Agnes went down and looking David indicates
the heaven with one finger...
